This is a really good entry in the No One Can See Me contest. Lately he's visiting us here in Quincy, IL. Last visit I almost lost my daughter-in-law and sister-in-law, who lost a leg because of it. Excellent points you have made about his travels and his ability to change.

Thank you. It sounds like your family got hit hard by COVID. I lost my 92-year-old sister. She was in a nursing home, which is why I mentioned the nursing homes in my story. There is still a lot of COVID around out part of the country.

Oh this is excellent! The image is full of impact and your short prose springs a surprise at the end when I was thinking this was science fiction. Very well written and a strong contender, Good luck! Debbie

Excellent prose told from the virus' point of view. You capture well the impact of the virus and the path of destruction it left in it's wake. This is a perfect entry for the contest. Your words show Covid as a live entity which it is.

Nasty piece of work, but as it points out, it's in its nature to kill and we're all advised to go with out talents, right? Maybe if we knew its true name, we'd be able to stop it!

"Schools closed, and businesses shut down," alerted me The Invader HAD to be Covid. You've included many of the horrors of this deadly virus, that still lurks across the planet. This is a perfect entry for the No One Can See Me contest. Best wishes.

Right, so here we have it. You're hiding in full view and yet we can't detect you. Viruses are like that. I liked the way you personified the COVID virus which kept the world in its grip. Good luck. Ulla:)))

Thank you. I recall that year very well. Even my dentist canceled all her appointments. It was an interesting time.

Good job using the virus medium to convey the story. Imaginative and nicely done. Perhaps drop 'COVID' and just let it hang for readers to grasp on their own?

Cheers!

Thank you. I never got the virus, but I personally know some people who did. It was scary.

It sends chills through my body when I realize how man "bugs" can simply change their shape, form or molecule and become another version of the same disease. It's a task that everyone dreads and a mystery of where it is.

Hi

This looks like a good entry for the contest. Good luck with that.

I have seen several entries to this contest. Some were quite funny one was very serious. You are somewhere in between that.

I would like to say that if they took out a microscope, they could see you. But they wouldn't know to take out the microscope until they could find you.

Covid almost killed me back in January. Of course you can tick off all of my risk factors and they would be quite a few.

Now there's an outbreak at the facility I'm at. I live in assisted-living.

The previous time I had Covid, it was very mild. I was even thinking that my test was a false positive.

Initially, I was thinking you were gonna say climate that you were climate because it sounded like you were talking about a lot of catastrophes and people not wanting to go outside

But with you, they don't want to go outside because they don't want to catch Covid

I enjoyed reading your story

Good job. Thank you for sharing.
