I enjoyed reading your poem. How true your words are. I am so tired of our leaders and everything happening in the world. I pray God brings peace soon. I like the words you use and the rhyming. Good luck in the contest.

Hi, AZ

This looks like a good entry for the contest. Good luck with that.

There is a loose rhyming scheme in this poem with no set meter

I didn't see consistent rhymes. What I mean by that is that usually. The rhymes occur in approximately the same spot for every line

Yes, the political system in the US is horribly wrong. It looks like it is in France and England, as well.

I think in every country there is a party that appeals to the wealthy because that party tries to make sure the wealthy get wealthier and another party that works for the common man

I enjoyed reading your poem

Good job. Thank you for sharing.

A plea for freedom is definitely a plea for America. Well done with the Star Spangled Banner playing in my head as I read your engaging poem.

Blessings

An excellent entry for the Rhyming Poetry Contest. A perfect poem to fit with the Star Spangled Banner. I wish I had the answer for bringing the country together but the problem is we are all human and as humans we have a tendency to craft our own demise. I guess all we can do is pray and vote. Good luck in the contest.

good luck with that. . . if trump gets back in, we will be the "UNunited states of russia"...

anyway, a very thought-provoking little verse with some rhyme and a smooth flow of carefully chosen words...

thank you for sharing

This work has reached the exceptional level

This poem, A Plea for Freedom, follows the beat of the National Anthem pretty much down to the last. You might want to state that in the notes in case it isn't obvious to foreign readers. A political point is made here with the definite slant on whose freedoms are held up and whose are challenged.

Freedom is indeed we need it badly! For we are the top of everything else, and we demanded "Free Will," so God granted us, and yet, we are still complaint when we face unjust, unfair, and unwanted. Your "A Plea for Freedom" is a great poem, and I like it a lot, and it got all your points across. I hope your poem made to the top!!!
