I really enjoyed your love poem, using the analogy of the bird nest all the way. Your last line sealed it perfectly. I hope it does very well in the Love Poem Poetry Contest. It's hard to write a love poem that isn't sappy, but you did it with excellence.

Beautiful and moving. Your words are really mushy, yet they build a picture, slowly, showing the progression of love - building the nest and the relationship one small step at a time until their trust in each other is bound tight.

Virtual six as I am already out on Wednesday. A beautiful poem of the love nest and loving life you lead. Now, you're always there for him. A poem that will certainly move the judges. One can hope.
Sending you my best today as always and my best wishes for the upcoming contest.

What a wonderful poem. Your beautifully capture love with your words. I love your progression from softly and quietly entering into a relationship, to bravely and deliberately building a nest. I love your word choices including "always there for me". I like how your poem celebrates the security found in a cherished partner. Well done!

This is incredibly beautiful! Birds do I believe remain faithful for life, a picture of love and trust as he prepares the nest for the female and together they create and nurture life. I also see spiritual layers to it, which are subtle but thought-provoking. Well done Ginda! I enjoyed this one a lot.

Thank you, Wendy, for the review and the six stars. Mike just had a six star review at his neuro exam. Holding steady.

This is a beautiful love poem. The bird imagery works very well to show your feelings about the relationship. The repetition at the end makes the reader slow down and absorb the point before the question at the end. Well done.

This is the kind of love poem I wish I could write. Not sappy or maudlin, but honest using simple words to describe a lover that "built a nest" beneath the Speaker's heart and "feathered it with trust and strength" throughout their years together. Tender, this poem really moved me.
