Hooray for Sarah! She should get a raise because she's also working as a psychotherapist or mom. Hooray for Sami because she's deep enough to see through Mateo and knows his love isn't genuine. Glad Noah and Sami talked it out!

I think this is one of the better chapters you've written so far. I'm still a little confused as to why they can't seem to understand each other's feelings. It seems apparent to everyone but them that they love each other, if love can occur in such a short time.
I liked the way you explained why it would never work out with Sami and Mateo.
I'm curious, if Mateo is going to be spending time with these escorts, is the government going to be paying for his fun time? I guess its no worse than some of the other things the government has funded, certainly no worse than gain of function research in China that brought us Covid.

I think this is one of the better chapters you've written so far. I'm still a little confused as to why they can't seem to understand each other's feelings. It seems apparent to everyone but them that they love each other, if love can occur in such a short time.

How large was the nightstand to hold all of Noah's belongings? Was his weapon a .22 or 357magnum?
Was the bed that Sami and Noah sat on a twin, queen or a king?

None of that information moves the story along. I don't like reading frivolous information in stories, so I don't include it in mine. When I'm reviewing and come to those areas, I actually skip them. My readers, other than you, don't seem to mind either. That's probably why we have so many different styles of writing. People can choose what they like to read. Thank you for the kind review.

This is a very good chapter. Sami has proved she has power over Noah by making him break rules, and he doesn't mind breaking them for her. They better come to an understanding for the future when this is over, but, of course, they will because this is a romance. One correction: . . . hand (through) his short hair.

With his playboy reputation, it's a wonder he'd be attracted to someone like Sami. Maybe she presents a challenge to him. I'm glad she turned down his offer to stay in home while they're still trying to get Chen and rescue the girls. Mateo would probably interpret it as Sami really wanting to marry him. Sami is so emotional. Sometimes it seems like it's all about her and her feelings. Anyway, her tears get Noah's attention. They both tend to misinterpret the other's actions.
