I was on Fan Story a few years ago and just rejoined. Both times I've been hesitant to review other people's work, partly because it takes time and partly because I didn't really feel qualified. You really encouraged me to be a more active member. I guess it's like everything else, you get back what you put in. This is definitely a six star entry! Thank you so much for your excellent advice!

Well, hello, 10 year Fan Storian!
The thing about this site that really gets me, is it is a magnet--at least for me. It is addictive, and fun and a challenge, and unlike submitting a story or poem to a magazine, there is instant gratification--or not :) By that, I mean you find out right away, which it is, without waiting months for a response, if you get one at all.
Also, as you said, there are new friends on Fan Story, people whose work you really like and vice versa. I think it is fascinating reading the posts and talking with people from all over the world. And I love the pictures to see what they look like, then you can put a face to a name. I need to change mine as it is probably about 10 yrs old, or so, but I don't have a recent one, so that'll have to wait.
Anyway, your tips are noted and appreciated. I need to look up and see what year I joined. I know it's been a good while, and I have enjoyed every minute of it.

I couldn't agree with you more. In these challenging times we live in, I think we're a little too quick to snap at someone who expresses their thoughts in ways that are contrary to ours. Please don't tell anybody but there have been times on this platform where I have tried to convince somebody that they are wrong and I am right. In so doing, I was wrong and I am determined to do right. Thanks for the review and the five beautiful stars you gave me.
