The explosion is coming. It's palpable. I just hope Huck (or his mama) think it out carefully. Huck and Miss Lynn had best be thinking about moving out of Mississippi, also, I fear.

I really don't like that man. What sort of life would Dewey have if Huck wasn't there. The three of them are scared of him, but it's imposible to do anything about it. That Mrs Finley is a mean woman, but it seems a little flattery totally has her flustered. Perhaps that what she needs, someone to be nice to her. Well done again, Gretchen. Love this story! You captured the hate and sorrow in this family, the fear and the anticipation of this Father's cruelty is felt by all members of this family. Excellent writing. I could feel the emotion behind every word. I will never understand why some men have to be so mean-spirited. Your writing would be easier for elderly folks if you could use a larger font. Other than that, I have no complaints. The story is nicely written.
