That's a wonderful story - and I did enjoy the happy ending, which doesn't happen too often. So the date would now be doubly meaningful. Best wishs for your entry.

Thanks, Wendy. I appreciate the review and your thoughtful comments. I guess I try to always find a bit of happiness in my characters if I can. It doesn't always happen that way but it would be nice if it did. Have a great day@

A virtual six!! I love a happy ending, Carol, and this was one! What a lovely story for the Special Delivery contest. Only you could come up with a flash fiction, story, giving it beginning, middle and end in such a sad, dramatic way. I don't know what I'd have done if my parents had split up. I am so sorry, Carol. I went into your profile page to see if you'd posted another chapter that I hadn't received, and saw you'd posted for the contest. I didn't look to see if it was a blind contest.
So if any judge sees my review, I am saying now, it wasn't Carol's fault. It is so easy to unintentionally find a contest a fellow writer might have written.

Kind of figured that might have been what had happened. It's okay. Nothing serious to worry about. As for the next chapter, I am working on it but have had a lot of things going on that I didn't expect. It's storming now so maybe if we don't lose power again I can write.

Don't we all wish that our parents would get back together again after a divorce. I think this is a good premise and well written
In my case, I was 14 when they got divorced. No age makes it painless. But certainly not as a teenager.

Thank you so much for your kind review and understanding what the emotions I was trying to convey. Amy time a divorce is difficult o the family but I do believe it affects the children far more than the parents will ever understand. Have a great day!
