I wouldn't think any physical violence would have an effect on a ghost but when you are dealing with things which we really don't understant, who am I to say you can't slaly a ghost. This is your story nad you are deciding what you can and cain't do.

Thanks, Beth...I researched and to my surprise (because I too had doubts) I discovered that if the ghost is capable of manifesting his body so that mortals can see him, then they are also subject to violence..... now William had disappeared....does that mean death?

Interesting question. They've been inseparable for over a hundred years, but each has a new vision of how they want to end their life... Victoria is disillusioned that she can be rich and powerful, and William understands forgiveness and the hereafter. Thanks for the comments and the review.

I thought this was well done. Your characters are excellent. Each with their own motivations and secrets. For me that really adds depth to the drama. The dialogue is excellent. You can feel the tension. That is especially true between William and Victoria as they grapple with their future. The atmospheric setting of the study was perfect. The flickering candles and crackling walls enhances the sense of impending danger. Well done.

Ghosts have never been my thing and what started as a whim with a few ghosts hanging out turned into a full-blown story where I tread lightly since I am not sure of where I am going. Actually, I was unsure of that myself so I researched and found that if the ghosts the the capabilities of materializing to the mortals, they can then be open to murder.....but then I didn't actually say William was dead...at least not yet. Yes, Victoria is evil and I believe she has just dug herself into a hole...that might lead to her damnation. The Judge, after trying to mend his ways, has become well liked and I fear others will seek revenge...possibly risking their damnation as well. We shall see. And Esther...she might have a connection or maybe she too is in search of the treasure. It's hard to tell with these ghosts. LOL

Thanks for catching those. It seems that every time I use a dash it turns it into those crazy symbols when I post...I get so irated because I don't catch them later.

Hmmm... can one kill a ghost? My research says if the ghost is capable of interacting with the mortals, then he also is capable of being destroyed, but certain things must be factored in. In other words, it's fiction and I might be twisting it a bit. LOL I didn't have a ghost to confer with. LOL

Victoria has dug a deep hole because the Judge is well liked and Victoria not so much. I guess we wait and see unless a friendly ghost drops by and tells me what to do.

I believe Madeline, Esther and Victoria are going to be in the mix. So much going on...no wonder they are in purgatory. LOl
