The plot thickens. I wasn't expecting that. Mr. Suttle seems to have some unsavory connections too. Bruno or Carl? Or possibly both? And where is Mr. Kraft? Bad things can happen to honest people when they're around the wrong kind.

Thanks for your review and observations, Cindy. I imagine that you?re right about Ken Suttle, since he was Bruno?s lawyer. A crafty misogynist!

This is a great read Tony. Plenty of tension and that final phone conversation between that snake, Ken Suttle with Ayesha was particularly good. Things are far from settled for Ayesha. Well told Tony.
Cheers

Thanks very much for your encouraging review, Valda. Ayesha still has one or two dilemmas to work through before things are finally resolved. All good wishes, Tony

Another excellent chapter. The plot is easy to follow. The characters are interesting.

Suttle is acting weird, I wonder what is going up. I also think the lawyer is not what he seems. Don't tell me brune is still alive! Mala llerva nunca muere ( bad weeds never die)

Well done

Gypsy

Thank you for your encouraging words, Gypsy. As a gardener, I appreciated your metaphor!
Bruno is definitely dead. However, at this stage, the only people (apart from the readers) who know he perished at sea are Johnno and Ayesha. Major Kamul, who was privy to the original hoax, thinks Bruno is still alive.

Hello Tony,

Not easy jumping into your story when it's so far advanced. In spite of the excellent summary in your author notes, I felt more than a little confused. So I went back and read your riveting first chapter. That was like a shot in the arm. I'm now waiting in eager anticipation for the story to unfold.

Blessings, Julia

Hi, Julia. How kind of you to drop in at this stage. It's a complex plot, and I'm not surprised you felt confused!
Initially, Ayesha thought she'd killed Bruno, but she hadn't. Then Major Suttikul sets up an elaborate hoax to convince her that he really is dead. The only characters at this stage who know he subsequently perished at sea are Johnno (who was with him at the time) and Ayesha (on the evidence of the wedding ring attached to the washed up arm). Kamul, who was privy to the original hoax, thinks Bruno is still alive.
Thanks for your kind words about the first chapter. The book is fast drawing to a close. Probably only two or three chapters are still to come.
    All good wishes, Tony

Now I'm suspicious of Suttle. I can't imagine a lawyer acting that unprofessional when talking to a client. I hope she can prove that Bruno is dead. This was another riveting high tension chapter. I am really enjoying this story. Gretchen

Thanks very much for your review, Gretchen. Ken Suttle may be a clever lawyer, but he's also a misogynist. I appreciate your continued interest and encouragement. All good wishes, Tony

So, there is a twist to the plot of this story. Ayesha's husband may still be alive! How disturbing! To her at least but not to everyone else who is bored with her antics of crying for help all the time.
I love the spacing and size of the print in this wonderful thriller. It is easy to read and the plot keeps thickening so there are twists and turns through to the end of this chapter.
This is entertaining and just plain good reading.

Things are not good for Ayesha right now and it seems they're getting worse. I am hoping Steve will be able to help her. I feel he's a good guy in all of this. I really like this story a lot and you're doing a great job writing it.

I don't know how, but apparently, I missed a chapter or two.
I thought Ayesha's husband was thought dead, then alive, and subsequently dead for certain. Now there's a chance he's still alive?
Best wishes.

Thanks for your review, Wayne. There are complications in the plot caused by different characters having different levels of knowledge. Bruno is definitely dead. However, at this stage, the only people (apart from the readers) who know he perished at sea are Johnno and Ayesha. Major Kamul, who was privy to the original hoax, thinks Bruno is still alive.

Hmm. Ayesha is in a lot of trouble now, unwittingly, as it may be. But what about that picture of the arm with Bruno's ring on the finger? I'm sure a DNA test would show who it belonged to. Then they would want to find out where the rest of the body was. This was a really exciting chapter, Tony, I look forward to the next one. :)) Sandra xx

Many thanks for your review, Sandra. Yes, Ayesha's problems may only be a temporary setback, for if she informs the police about the ring establishing the arm as being Bruno's, his death will be confirmed. However, that course of action may have unintended consequences. We shall see.
