Another great chapter worthy of more strs. The Japanese soldier incident hd me laughing out loud. I don't know why, but it reminded me of when, a few months before our wedding, my fiancée gave me w birthday helium balloon. My mom was sleeping, so I left it in the kitchen. When she got up and saw it, she first thought it was a spaceman!

What a nice telling of the times.
And you sure got into a pickle! Goodness, what a mess. I can see it all now, having been entangled myself. And then the iodine and the alcohol!

Ouch and double ouch! I know those briars had to really hurt and then the cure was almost as bad. What a way to learn a lesson, huh? Great story!

I think briers and brambles would be a real problem for any little girl, but those medical remedies for infection would've hurt, I think now one can purchase less severe remedies for those cuts and welts, thanks for sharing Beth, blessings Roy

    Thank you, Roy. Living away from the city mean briars and insects daily. That was the only time I got suck to the point I needed help to get free.
