Hi Gretchen, and LOL, I used to chase the boys with them when I was little. Isn't that horrible? Haha.

But anyway they are just MN garden snakes so they aren't harmful, but all the men in my husband's family were afraid of snakes.

He is brave otherwise, especially when I see a spider that I hate. Then I am not so brave.

My husband loves to fish and is not afraid of snakes. Neither are my son or grandsons. They have two pet snakes. Me, on the other hand, would give snakes a wide berth! I enjoyed this quatern!

Yum, yum, I love those Walleye. Culver's restaurants serve it up until Easter every year, and I eat it about three days a week, while they have it. I can picture you throwing snakes. I used to hide five or six inside my shirt on the way home from school, and scare everyone. Thanks for sharing.

A great job on your poem, Debi!!! It was so well crafted and fun. My father had no fear of snakes, either. Like you, he grew up killing snakes by hand. I don't have a huge fear, but I don't pick them up, either.

I happen to agree with your husband. I don't do snakes. Once, I was picking strawberries and a snake crawled across my hand. I never went back to that strawberry patch. The snake can have the strawberries. Your poem was fun to read.

Who needs a hoe or rake when they have Debi? I no longer run from snakes (we get black and rat snakes in my yard), but I don't think I'd pick one up. When you grow up handling them though . . .
