Very well crafted 3-5-4 traditional haiku here. Excellent imagery from the first two lines, and great interpretation in the third.

A wonderful image of might and support! Although fallen and considered broken, it provides something even more special and symbolic to the world. Dawn Munro wrote a post about all of us being broken to allow the light to come in. I think both hers and your skilful verse are inspiring concepts. Well done, Jess. Take care Debbie xo

This is a beautiful Haiku for its imagery, made even more beautiful and meaningful by incorporating the concept of wabi sabi. We often forget that being broken can be the basis for something new and more beautiful, or more useful. Up-cycling!

What I see in the fallen tree is the statement, "By any means available." I know the phrase that is more widely known and accepted is, "By any means necessary." But somehow, the more positive is the one I chose. By using the fallen tree as a bridge across the creek, though fallen it provides access to the other side.
