Hahahaha!! I have been hearing the phrase, the old farts a lot lately. This is hilarious and at least one still remembers being in a purple haze. I love it.

I love how you added some of the titles or lyrics to their conversation. Yes, this was awesome. And to stage it from a nursing home was brilliant.

Now somebody should really go tell the guy who still rolls the stones to look under them and he will find moss, or is it mold. Speaking for myself watching an eighty year Mick on stage, I can't get no "Satisfaction" out of it. And yet Willie still sits on a chair, plays his old guitar and keeps going on the "Road again."

Shoot, sorry, your story was so much fun I couldn't help but getting into it myself.
Gosh, it was too good. Thanks so much for the laugh and "old time" entertainment.
Wish I had a six, (yes, out of them already) so please accept a purple hazed one.
Love, Debi

What a humorous and well-written piece - and yes, what fun they could have in the retirement home for musicians! If they stopped squabbling for a while. A clever interweaving of the rockers and singers with their songs. A fine piece.

You really took me back as I read each name and recalled their music. I enjoyed the creative way you had of weaving the songs into the story. If any of them could come together again in concert, I would listen.

There are some still touring. I think Frampton was inducted into the HOF recently.

Oh John, this is great fun! A retirement home for all those rocking musicians, squabbling away over who is the greatest. I mean, how do you ever come down to earth after all that glory? I think there could well be riots brewing. Thank goodness for Nurse Ronstadt! Great stuff! Take care Debbie

This was deserving of a 6. It's original and hilarious. And I'm so sorry I ran out so soon:(

That?s ok. Just knowing you thought it was six star worthy means a lot. It was fun writing. I may do a few more?. What do you think?

I think it's a great idea! We've got a writer here in the UK who's making a fortune on crime mysteries solved by a group of residents in a very luxurious care facility. With yours, it's got huge potential for some mischief. It's got legs as they say!

This was amazing LOL. It's so hard to picture these guys being ad old as they are especially since some of them are still rocking out on stage as if the were in their 30s! Great job with story.

I got a laugh out of this one. I would listen to "The Old Farts." I loved how you bolded the song titles. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

I am positive they could still rock 'til they dropped. Thank you for taking back a few years. I enjoyed the trip.
