Hi HG,
This is a terse poetic reminder that we need to be kind to each other. We always should do your best to help when we can.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Joan

This reminds me of the poem The Creed by Edgar Guest and it was also made into a song. You know her one, "Let me a little kinder to thre brother that is blinder,-think a little more of other and a little less of me. You poem offers great advice. I think we all wake up sometimes in a grumpy mood and find it hard to go the extra mile.

This was a nice poem to have "rolling around" in your head. It's a great message to all of us just to be nicer, and I liked your rhymes. Thank you for sharing your poem here, and best wishes to you.

Charming and spontaneous, the best poetry! A smile means so much. We were passing a bus today and a young girl just looked over and smiled. She may have been taking the p... but it made me feel good. Trust me, we're all guilty of those less kind days but your lovely, flowing and rhymed little verse makes up for it! Take care Debbie

We never know when a simple smile or a hello might change someone's entire day from being all wrong. It doesn't cost us anything and can mean a lot to others.

I used to work with a lady who made sure to say one kind thing to every person she dealt with each day. Sometimes it was the only nice thing they heard. Doesn't take a lit of effort to be a decent human being. Gretchen

-Nice artwork and presentation, Gretchen.
-Your notes are appreciated.
-You wrote a good poem with a good topic.
-Effective imagery and rhyme.
-A very good opening verse about
the nature of life.
-The second verse gives good
examples of how we can
"do the right thing
And walk that extra mile."
-Thanks for sharing it.

You're right we all have days that it's difficult to be kind. On my days like that, I tell my husband, "I'm having one of those days were I just shouldn't be around polite society." He just chuckles. Thank you for sharing this wonderfully written reminder with us.

Wise advice in your short poem Gretchen, going that extra mile for a stranger spreads the love. Some days are busy and we forget to be kind to others, I enjoyed the sentiments here, love Dolly x

I've often wondered how people like you who work with the public every day can manage to keep smiling and being nice after dealing with the same nasty individuals repeatedly. But I can see you turning your other cheek and nodding pleasantly. Thanks for sharing.

I'm a smart ass, Ric. I do try to be nice but there are those who get my razor tongue. Thanks so much. Gretchen

You certainly see a good and kindly God. You are very fortunate in this, as exemplified by the words:
By offering a hand
You just might bring a smile
you are gently being led in the right direction. kay
