"I would have done if it" feels like the word so should be in this sentence, as in I would have done so if..."

Isn't it funny how the mind conjurs up some of the strangest dreams based on something someone may have been told?

Could be an awkward moment Ayesha meeting Bapit's "schoolyard sweetheart." Ayesha appeared to have at least a momentary touch of jealousy.

Though idioms as you stated, play with chickens easy to get eggs on one's face.

The Mynas probably were mimicking the people below them. Perhaps even telling each other they wished the noisy people would knock off their chatting.

Maybe Ayesha has discovered the location for her elephant sanctuary.

Thanks, Brett. I appreciate your review. You're probably right about the myna's. They are great mimics. I reread that sentence you mentioned and agree that it was a bit clunky, so I've altered the wording. Thanks for pointing it out. All good wishes, Tony.

No, Ayesha is not joking with you. I'm sure of it. She wants to turn that place into an elephant sanctuary and has the money to do it. I am still curious about her relationship with Steve. I really like this story.

Great story and a riveting tale about a rich widow trying to develop an elephant preserve. She is a friend to Bapit who is an amputee from one too many celebrations resulting in an accident that has claimed his leg! Ayesha is a little beside herself when Chalita, Bapit's Doctor almost reveals the donar taking care of his medical bills. He is so talented with elephants and Arusha hopes that Bapit will heal and help her with the elephant sanctuary.

I look forward to reading Chapter 25 tfawcus!

Hi Tony, this was another great chapter. Ayesha is moving fast, not waisting any time. Now, I can't wait to see how fast she can get things moving. It's such an intriguing story. Ulla:)))

Oh yes!! A very wealthy widow. It looks hopeful and she already has earmarked the charity to be set up. I hope she does something about the ring, it will clear her concience knowing she didn't kill Bruno.

What I love about your stories are the way you show us where you take us, showing us what Ayesha sees in detail. Another excellent chapter in your fabulous book, Tony. Well done! :)) Sandra xx

It's good to see Ayesha picking up where she left off in Thailand. Bapit is doing much better now, and Chanarong seems eager to let bygones be bygones and has warmed to the idea of an elephant rescue. But of course the fly in the ointment is this new fellow, his business partner, Runrot (good name choice). She'll either win him over or end up beating him, I'm quite sure. She has become a formidable force now. Good chapter. - Jim

Thank you, Geoffrey. I appreciate your sharp eye. I must have proofread that passage a dozen times without noticing those glaring errors. They are now corrected.
Once again, I sincerely thank you for the affirmation of a sixth star.

Well, Somchai's dream interpretation really resonated with my own personal history! My maternal grandparents were brought together by my great-grandfather's dream of two white snakes. He was not Christian so the dream was favorable. My paternal grandmother (Christian by then) dreamed of a snake before my parents' wedding and she almost called off the wedding. But when someone offered to buy her dream, she relented and thought maybe it was a good omen after all. So these dreams of snakes do have a bearing on weddings!
It's good that Ayesha knew how to handle Runrot politely. Perhaps she can win him and Chanarong over.

But now you've complicated the romance with the flower girl and Bapit as well as Ayesha's attraction to her lawyer in Sydney! A love quadrangle.

Comment:
I didn't know who said the following. Chanarong finished speaking before so was it Runrot? (such a name - must be one of the bad guys)
"'Precisely. Because that is where the money is. I'll have none of it. It would be what you Australians call a white elephant.' He appeared to be rather pleased with his little joke."

How interesting about the snakes. I had thought it was just a Thai superstition. I'm delighted you thought this worthy of a sixth star, and thank you for pointing out the speech tag lapse. I've now included another 'Runrot said' for the sake of clarity.
Runrot, by the way, is a Thai name meaning 'prosperous', so I had a double reason for choosing it! I can imagine the poor lad getting teased a bit as school though!

I have been so lucky to find this place. It has saved my life. I stopped reviewing you not because I didn't like your work, I do love it, But because there are only so many hours I can sit, and I have had to adopt a one-for-one rule. You review me, I review you. I read everything in my mailbox because I can read lying down. But reviewing must be done sitting. I like points and stars as much as anyone, but if I owe you a read and you have no points I will still review you. I will troll if I need to give you a review. And, if I troll, I will look for ones that need points to get ribbons and stars. You are a masterful writer. I have enjoyed most everything I read. I do not like everything you ever written, And I doubt very much you loved every single piece of mine. So we skip editing a few here and there. I will remain your reader and friend. But, if you do not review me as I do you, this may be the last review I do for you. Karen :-)

Thank you for taking the time to review, Karen, and for explaining your rationale for reviewing. There's always a delicate balance between doing one's own writing and reading and reviewing the work of others. I always put at least a dollar, and usually more, on any prose writing I present, together with a Lucky Leprechaun, to give reviewers a good chance of being properly rewarded.
