I'm watching the eclipse now, the live feed from Arkadelphia, Arkansas. I'm always watching the signs in the sky of the Lord's second coming. We are receiving the final stroke of the "X" today over Carbondale, Illinois. Carbondale means, Little Egypt, and X is Chi and Christ in the Greek. An awesome sign of the heavens in our life time. Sending you my best today as always and my very best wishes in the upcoming contest.

Excellent use of alliteration with slowly, shading, shining and sunlight. Also moves and moon. A mathematical metaphor of sorts. It seems like every time this happens, some viewers don't protect their eyes and end up blind!

Good thing we have Donald Trump, who can look directly at the moon. He does it better than anyone.

As the light is briefly replaced and covered by the dark, we mankind get the chance to see what it is like to be totally in the dark. Happily and thankfully the darkness is only momentarily. As the light makes its return, we graciously applaud God's mercy and his majesty which is full on display.

This is an excellent 5-7=5 poem. It is particularly appropriate for today and I like all the alliteration you have built into it. I wonder if any of the many oddities people have mentioned concerning this eclypse will be of any significance.

Trump is likely responsible for any positive aspects.

He will definitely claim to be. If anything goes wrong he let us know that Biden did it.

An excellent entry for the 5-7-5 poetry Contest. Very nice alliteration all through this piece. Nice eclipse photo for effect. Nicely written. Good luck.
