Such vivid descriptions of everyone, I could have been sitting there with them. Each person unique. Quite an observant narrator. No telling what some of these people will get up to, even on a pilgrimage. Well done. Always a pleasure to read your stories.

Much appreciated, Yvonne. Yep, I think there's about 10 characters here and I think Chaucer originally did about 24. the challenge will be in reciting the tales as told by the various characters and trying to differentiate their 'voices'. All the best G

There were many interesting characters at this Inn. I'm sure there could be numerous tales written about them. Thank you for sharing this addition with us. I can't wait to read more.

It is a delight to see so many character descriptions lined up. It completes the setting of the scene you started in chapter one. All seems ready to start now, kay.

Whatever you write is always a pleasure to read. I'm unfamiliar with the original writings, but I enjoy this version.
The characters are interesting, and I look forward to reading more.

The original was written in the 14th century, middle english and in poetry so updating is a big undertaking but fun. Many thanks, John. G

I thought this was well written. I love how you have such a diverse cast of characters. Each pilgrim is brought to life with distinct personalities. making them interesting. Like the nun who didn't like the loud guy! I thought this was very enjoyable and easily kept my interest.

Many thanks, Michael. It's a big cast and they all need their own voices. It's a fun challenge. Much appreciated. GMG

Interesting. Even the selected picture embellishes the story, and as to the positions described, do they remain alive today, a reeve, prioress, manciple, and such? Old Britain. I think I would have fit in!

I think half these jobs are gone now. It's also amazing how many variations of religious figures there are / were. much appreciated, as always, Tom. G

There just aren't enough words to describe how entertaining and interesting your descriptions are of each individual. You paint quite the picture with your words. Very enjoyable!
Have a great day!
