Hahahaha!!! This is adorable, and written by a poet who (obviously) knows cats.
My favorite lines --
"Sir Meowy yawned; he'd had his fill of salmon and crab cakes
and closed his eyes to take a nap, not dwell on past mistakes."

Very well done, Crystie. The cats going out for tea and cakes certainly had a lot of good things on the menu.

Too bad Sir Meowy acted like a cat with those awful claws of his.

This is a delightful poem for this contest and I wish you great luck with the Committee. :)

I rather like this poem, it seems like Mr Meowy is a wise cat, one doesn't cling to the ways and mistakes of the past, and simply moves on. What good advice. Beautifully written my friend. Good luck in the state and nationals, blessings Roy

I do love this poem, it is so infectious and rhythmic and it leaves me with cute images of kittens at a tea party, I love it, its the perfect escape from the hum drum of life. Thank you for sharing.

What a naughty Mr. Meowy! I think Mrs. McLump needs to offer to restore the pillows. Sigh. But what a cute story poem you have made of a very realistic cat behavior. Even though the ladies are a bit over the top with their treating cats as humans at teatime. Best wishes in the contest!

Thank you so much for your great review. I like using humor by exaggeration. I bet Mrs. McLump handed her friend something to compensate her for the pillows getting ruined on the way out the door a bit later.

Thank you so much for stopping by to read and review. One of these days I ought to actually try petit fours, but I'm leaving my cat, Meowy, at home when I do.
