Karen, what a wonderful creative mind you have. This is excellent fanasty and well thought out. I did think you might make some reference to women are from Veneus and Men from Mars. Thank you for entering the contest. I didn't have enough sixes, so yours will have to be virtual. Terry.

I love your title and the way it connects to your story. Corporal punishment on your world is certainly permanent. You seem to have created a perfect world for your people to live on, but they still manage to disagree.

This was a very interesting post. I liked the underlying conflict that is as old as humans themselves. Everyone thinks they are right. It continues on with destruction, division and hard headed Ness. Very interesting. Good luck in the contest. Gretchen

Well Karen,
consarn it, if your story had been one sooner in the pecking order, it would have gotten a six from me. Does a virtual six count? I liked the first line of the story a lot, it set the stage for what was coming. Wouldn't it be nice if we had the same ability to hold our leaders accountable? If they want to start wars, let them be a the front of the line and see how long they last. A vast majority of politicians don't have any skin in the game. They can pass laws that impact the rest of us, while exempting themselves. A perfect example is how they have premium health insurance and a pension for life after they serve a term. Does Animal Farm from George Orwell come to mind? Anyway, I like your imagination. Well done gal.
Have a blessed evening.
Tom

I am with you on that. I think those that want the wars should go and fight them. Everyone that implements cutting down of services must do without them also. That would change the world..'Karen:-)

I got a little confused about who exactly believed what in this story, but I gathered enough of the gist to get a good idea. I think forcing troublemakers to act for the good of the crowd is an excellent idea.

Men wanted to big a bigger faster engine that would take 3 to 4 years to build. They wanted no ships to go before theirs. So they sabotaged them. The ladies wanted the ships they already have repaired and sent. They could also be guilty of sabotaging the mens ship. The group harmony wanted both plans as ships are built they will be sent. And after that the new ship will be built and sent. The harmony group is larger then the others. Thanks for the read. :-) nKaren

It would be so cool to adventure where I could be the first ever there, but would God allow that to be. He surely intervened when Eve was gifted to Adam.
The picture seems Tibetan or maybe Northern Japanese.

I don't know for sure where it is from, or even if it is real. But if it is real I would say japanese. Thanks for the read, Karen

Hi Karen,
You've written a very engaging story about a colony on Mars. They have a very organized society with plans for survival. I like the three factions you created. One is composed of men, one of women, and they are the extremists, then there is the middle one composed of both that seems to have charge at the moment because of their ability to be flexible.

Great job,
Hugs,
Rhonda
