You clearly agree with T S Eliot that the naming of cats is a difficult matter! Your story led me to reread that glorious poem and to luxuriate once again on those ineffable lines
When you notice a cat in profound meditation,
The reason, I tell you, is always the same:
His mind is engaged in a rapt contemplation
Of the thought, of the thought, of the thought of his name

Thanks so much, Tony! You've just taken me back to a couple of theatre experiences - one as a much younger and rapt audience member seeing Cats in Melbourne, and another where we sang this song in a concert. :)
