I liked reading this rhymed two-line poem. I thought you did a good job with your 'd' consonance with crowd, stand, bowed. And the internal rhyme of crowd/ bowed and the end rhyme of erect/respect is great. For some reason I really want to change 'stand' to 'stands." Is 'crowd' considered a collective noun or a plural noun? Good luck in that contest!

Well done with both end rhyme and inner rhyme : crowd and bowed. Also alliteration with solemn and stand. Good luck in the contest, my friend. Appreciate the notes too.

Thanki you, not only for an effective use of two lines, but for educating me about an important day I had not known of previously. I will try to remember April 25 as long as my life goes on.

In so few words you have paid the utmost respect to those who serve, served and given their life in the military. I as well share those feelings.
Your poem has a fine internal and concluding rhyme.
Well presented!

That is excellent - you have internal as well as end rhymes, plus you have spoken on a topic dear to my heart. The image supports your words well. Wishing you the best for the contest.

Thank you, Wendy! I have had family members in the military, so Anzac Day has always been important to us too. :)

This is well done. For such a tiny format, you have managed to evoke emotion, use internal and end rhyme well, and tell a story with your words, not relying on the picture. Still, you also chose great artwork.

I don't know where Chrissy710 is but she always writes about ANZAC day. And your essence poem is perfectly constructed with the internal and end rhymes! Best wishes in the contest!
