Oh-oh, it's going to attract some attention when she wins that bet, and Mr. Greasy isn't going to want to pay up, is he? I can see things getting complicated rather quickly.

Bapit certainly has a big crush on Ayesha, and she is warming to him. But if the police notice him, they are bound to know the woman beside him would be Ayesha. And now, to up the anti, she has put a big bet on Bapit's brother to win, this in itself will be the police interested in her. How will this end for both Ayesha and Bapit. Lot's happening in this chapter, Tony. Can't wait to see how you paint the nexr part. Well done, my friend. Sandra

Ayesha is in a tight spot and engaged in an exciting and dangerous adventure. I'm worried she is going to runout of money.

Another wonderful book. I can't wait to read the next chapter.

Thanks for your continued support, Gypsy. I'm hoping Ayesha wins her wager. She's just splashed out the equivalent of about US$100 on that bet.

I am so loving this story. I have no idea about the culture but I think that is part of the intrigue. I am planning on looking up some of the words that have been repeated and seem to be titles of people in this story. Really good and interesting. Gretchen

In Thailand, khun proceeds a given name and is a sign of politeness and respect. It is a formal form of address.
There are currently about 35 Thai bahts to the US$.
As a unit of weight, there are about two bahts to the ounce.

Hi Tony. I am enjoying your very well written story. The characters are described very well and the plot is trundling along nicely. I look forward to reading more chapters.

Ayesha seems to have cast her lot with Bapit here, going with him in the disguise he arranges for her, and she seems to be warming up to his family, as she places the bet because the old man insults Bapit's brother. In the background is the police, who appear to be on the verge of finding Bapit and Ayesha at the boxing match. There's suspense, there's intrigue, there's all kinds of roiling emotions. We still can't quite make out if the landlord is friend or foe, as he looks out for himself in that jewelry deal. He is still in the shadows as well. estory

The outbreak of the rainstorm took me back instantly to my Singapore days when the huge monsoon ditches filled up within minutes of the rainfall starting. The somewhat staccato style I have mentioned previously worked well in the latter stages of the boxing matches being well matched to the frenetic atmosphere of the bouts.

I imagine Ayesha will win her bet, she is overdue for a bit of good luck and of course we all want the odious fellow in front of her to get his come-uppance.

It's been raining like that here for the last couple of days. Unseasonable, but welcome. Best wishes for Christmas and the New Year. Tony.

Great Tony,
This is going very well. As I mentioned before - super pace, realistic characterization.
And, for all the action, there is the poetry too "...mass of dancing water sprites, gurgling with spiteful laughter. They gushed out of gutters and leapt upon a cavalcade of wild water horses charging down towards the sea. They stung with tiny swords all who dared stand in their way.
I am so pleased to be here to watch and read as this unravels.
cheers

I like the way you approach your stories, with an eclectic differing characters, plenty of action, not particularly predictable, and one thing you have are a smooth, action packed flow, always absorbing, and nicely written, well done, blessings Roy
