Beth, this is a very nice and well written story about looking for a place to buy a home. You used very good descriptive words. I enjoyed reading and reviewing this. I look forward to your next post. love and blessings, teri

City life must have been busy after living in the country. It's not easy to just pick up the pieces and move. Quite the adventure your story is telling. How long did you live in the city?

We lived in the New Orleans for 17 years although my husband had hoped to be out in a year. We might have made it out, if I'd not gotten pregnant and he knew he hae to keep working.

We found our moving from Connecticut to Florida tht to sell a home and find one where you had never been before is impossible without God's help and prayer. But The Lord did it and I hope nothing painful or devastating happens to you and your family in the next chapter.

Thank you Jim. The Lord was definitely in the move and he moved mountians for us to help us along. We couldn't have done it without him either. I think he allows the trial as test and to strengthen out need to rely on him.

It is obvious God has blessed you with a wonderful family and a guy who was matured enough to think properly. Amazing how we can learn from each other. Good story, Beth.

Thank you for another nice review. Yes, Evan was a good man and he was smart enough to plan for the future before he retired.

Wow
That's quite a change. You had a very busy life probably still busy if i'm not mistaken! Must have been a very busy mom too! That's a big move. You aren't very well and you have engaging characters of course, because they're real but also because you're a very good writer, I see no issues with grammar sentence structure or subject matter. I think you've got a great entry. That's always I hate really like it. And I look forward to more have yourself a great evening!!

Thank you Lea. Life is full of challenges for all of us an we just have to keep doing what we have to do. There is no choice except to keep on. I'm not nearly as busy as I once was because now I live alone and let things go that I would never do when others lived with me.

Seems everyone is getting back on track. Evan's wise investments helped your family look on the bright side. Still drama though with Connie fighting the blues. Interesting that Evan did something different with his spur of the moment idea. I suspect one of his spirit guides shoved him in the right direction.

Yes we had a bit of a break from everything going wrong but of course there is never a time when everything is perfect either. Selling a house and preparing for a move is not fun.

It's always difficult when the family starts to spread out. While I would enjoy life in or near a small country town, the reality is that we need to consider proximity to good medical services and other facilities as we age. Not an easy decision for you, but Chattanooga sounds good.

Thank you Wendy. You are right. The hospital was another reason living in the country would be inconvenient. I think Chattanooga was the right answer for us although it was a long way from my parents and I was their only child.

Of course it is not going to be easy, Life isn't supposed to be. Without bumps you don't know smooth. Without deep holes you do not know overwhelming joy. You write your stories well.

You are right Karen. I think of life as a rollercoaster with many ups and downs, but sometimes it is more like rollercoaster crash. Things with us, always seemed to have many things going wrong at the same time. In the end, they usually leveled out of a while, but as my husband used to say, "There never is a time when all your ducks are in a row."

It must be great to have your vast country in the palm of your hand and be able to choose to live anywhere you like Beth. This is what it was like when we joined the European Union, Brits could live anywhere in Europe and me and my husband retired to Spain. Since leaving Europe we cannot now choose to live abroad, it has been a tragic situation and many Brits who were forced to sell their retirement homes. It sounds like your husband was motivated to find a retirement home for you both to enjoy. I enjoyed reading about your life Beth, love Dolly x x x,

To accommodate everyone's needs without offending anyone sounded like a complicated game of chess and, once again, I see how much planning and decision-making has gone into the logistics of family life. That Evan became more actively involved must have relieved the burden for you a bit, Beth. Thank you for sharing another excellent chapter, keeping us abreast of all the Shelby news. No errors noted. Debbie

Thank you Debbie. Yes, I thought I would hate having Evan home all the time but it worked out. He was someone who didn't mind work as long as it was his work. He didn't enjoy working under those who were his boss.
