OMG the beauty of this extremely well written piece of poetry has brought tears to my eyes, This has got to be the winner so there's no point in me even attempting to compete. This is as good as any written by the well know poets of old. Absolutely wonderful!!! Bravo!!!

Oh my - I'm so humbled by your lovely review and am so very happy that you enjoyed. I did have a wonderful time creating this as I wanted to try to personify the fall season. Oh, my goodness!! This is absolutely EXQUISITE, Mystery Poet! I've been doing my due diligence here, reading through all the entries, but this one stands out like a mighty oak in an orchard of saplings. (like what I did there? You inspired me...)
There is NO WAY this one isn't the winner by a landslide. It's so fabulous in every way, including the artwork as well as the font colors you used that to perfectly differentiate who was "talking."
I absolutely LOVE this poem. I'll read through the rest of the entries, but I'm more than sure this one will get my vote. Good luck!! xoxo

A beautiful extended metaphor here, maintained with a subtle tone of voice, or voices, throughout. Dare I say Hardy-esque? It certainly has a Victorian tone to it, and that's a compliment, not an insult. Well done and good luck in the contest.
