Very nice write up about Debi. I, like you, have really enjoyed reading her birthday tribute poems. I knew from her notes that she's been sick. Sorry about it being the dreaded Covid. Thanks for sharing this with us.

How can I nominate Debi for Writer of the Year? When someone goes out of their way to make others feel recognized in such a personal way, I say Yes, yes, yes. Her poems are a delight to read and poems tell stories just as much as fiction and non-fiction stories do.

I don't know how she writes those poems, either. How she takes facts and details and makes them poetic is beyond me. And doing that while not feeling well is also remarkable.

You have my vote. Debi is my newly adopted baby sis. I love this wonderful, warm-hearted woman. I have become her unofficial Big brother. We communicate often, and to say that she has my back would truly be an understatement. She is incredibly supportive of my efforts as I am a huge supporter of hers. I am reminded of the Apostle Paul, who accomplished so much while being physically handicapped. In that same spirit, Debi is accomplishing so much despite her challenges. She is to me, the modern example of a superhero, shall I say it, Debi Pick Marquette is a true Shero!
