It's funny the effect females have on you. After meeting the one who became my wife, I proposed on the second date! I don't care if it was "The Great Gatsby" I was writing-I'd have forgotten all about it, too!

Every time I see that "stout", I wonder if you're looking at me through a scope!
-
Are you a stout drinker? I?m a Guinness guy and Murphies Stout?
-
Since the 80's I stopped drinking, but I drank enough to last more than my lifetime. Especially in Ireland, where I travelled in the 70s. Guines off the tap there was so much better than the bottled Guiness here.

Nice , cute, and competition! This is a good little ditty. It is easy to picture, and the photo backs up your story. It is getting colder here. In the low sixties. How about there? Good Writing. karen

A true case of life imitating art! So many interesting stories are spawned by public transport and chance meetings. I liked the structure of this piece and I'm sure many of your readers will relate to scrawling notes on napkins in transit. :)

Lol! Well, this writer is easily distracted! I guess he will need more napkins to write about a brunette in a fedora and her Pomeranian now. If only he had written it all in a document and then he could just use a global change and keep the story! Fun writer's story! Best wishes in the contest!

What can be said about a seventy-five word story. idk but I do remember my days as a Trentonian, and riding the PRR to NYC to take the Staten Is Ferry to the Statue of Liberty, Penn Station, the polo Grounds and Ebbets Field, where Carl Furillo tossed me a ball. I was also carried to first base pre-game by Ted. Klu who played ball with my dad in the minor leagues.

That's funny. Penn Station used to be my stomping ground, going to and from NYC, from Long Island. This is excellent work. Your presentation is very good. You use expressive words and colorful imagery that readers enjoy, as I did. This is fiction but it's been close to the truth in my life.
Best wishes,
Alex

Writing a love story in napkins during a train ride is romantic and it sounds like a creative writer.
Sometimes I have haiku ideas while I'm in bed and I have to write it down before I forget it.
An unusual love story between a beagle and its owner, in juxtaposition with a pretty brunette and her Pomeranian. It reminds me of "a hundred and one Dalmatians"
Good luck in the contest!
I appreciate your writing talent. Well done!
