Congratulations!
My wife and I have both self-published with Kindle Direct Publishing. There is some satisfaction with having a book printed and being able to give them to family, but to be commercially published would be so much nicer. Again, congrats.

Hi Terry,
Congratulations on this endeavor - it sounds like it took a lot of solid work and time, but anything worthwhile does. I hope it does well, but just seeing its completion must be so rewarding for you. Well done!
Yes, I remember the story you published - in two parts, I believe. It was a very different take on Santa and I enjoyed it.
Thank you so much for all the information here; I have a neighbor who is currently trying to find a publisher for her book - I will give her the name of Atmosphere Press.
Again, good luck.

Sign me up for a book right away, Terry. This is enormously helpful, but since I only have $5 available it won't be an option right now. However, I volunteer to proof read for you any time in the future, whether the publishers pay me or not.
You picked the right three ladies there! Rama is incredibly talented and Ann and Debi are the perfect target audience. Good choices are essential in this project, I think.
As I am a Christmas fan (and you will probably have noticed the theme in recent posts) and love the idea of your book - so I will certainly buy one - then I might buy a few more for presents.
Invaluable advice. I know of the publishers. Others say that there are no costs to the author, but I have no idea how that works - but here, we now know the kind of process required to make a good job of it.
Thank you very much, Terry.

Paul, thank you for the review. There are lots of ways to publish. If you do decide to get the book, you might enjoy a connection to England in the story. Terry.

Brilliant. Thanks, Terry.
Best wishes, Paul

Congratulations, Terry, on the publishing of your book. Thanks for sharing all the details of the process. It is an expensive process, but, as you say, it's much faster than using a traditional publishing route. I hope the book does well. Blessings. Carol

This is very interesting and informative. It sounds very exciting and a bit expensive. Now that you and Jay are being published, maybe I should take the leap. I do have one question. Will it also be available for Kindle readers?

Carol it will be available on Kindle. The illustrations will not look good, that?s the downside. Thanks for reviewing. There are less expensive ways to publish. I thought the folks would be interested in the details of how I went about it. It?s just one way. Terry

I know there are hundreds of ways, but am very interested in what everyone here does.

You have shared your publishing journey with other Fanstorians very well. It is a big accomplishment to reach such a personal goal and you are an inspiration to others dreaming of being published themselves.
Hearty congratulations!

I tried both ways and I couldn't find the book. I searched by title and by your name. I copied and pasted the link and was told it was invalid. I want to buy it. Any ideas how to do it??? Please help.

Sorry about the link. I know quite a few have been sold on Amazon. They have an auto correct that sometimes changes my name. Try
Santa Claus: The Beginning Terry Broxson. I know that has worked for others. Terry

That worked. I have it ordered. Thank you.

I know I will.

Congratulations. As one who has been an avid reader of the this book from its first posting and all along the way. I am absolutely as proud of your accomplishment as if I myself was involved somehow. This should serve as an encouragement to each writer who dreams of publishing a book of any type or sort someday. It can be done by anyone, willing to put in the work. If you are not willing to work, then you are not a serious author, just someone with a hobby. You had best believe I will be i line to make a purchase.

Nomi, thank you for the six stars! You were an early supporter of the idea and the book. You even suggested Disney might be interested in the book. I appreciated those encouraging comments. Terry

Congratulations on this remarkable accomplishment. I know many Fanstorians have published books, but this is the most detailed description of the step-by-step process, including costs, that I have read. I truly appreciate knowing what went on behind the scenes, should I ever dare to think I could publish a book.

Lorraine, thank you for the six stars and your kind review. I did think it was important for the story to be specific about the process, interactions, and costs. Thanks, Terry.

Congratulations! I remember that story as being very amusing, and 'grown-up' enough that the readers won't be driven crazy when the infants want to hear the story over and over again (an extremely important criterion in my experience). kay

Kay, an excellent observation. I always thought the adults would enjoy the book more than the kids, but I hope the kids like it. Terry.

Kids are notorious fans of grown-up books, as long as they identify with the characters. I think you're on to a winner. K
