Very interesting. Excellent dialogue.
Waylon sounds very authentic. Sounds as if you've really had conversations with young men (boys).
Best wishes.

Three sons. Food first, conversation filled with cringe worthy info and inappropriate humor. Loved every minute of it. Thank you for this nice review. Gretchen

This is the way the sentence appears on my screen. I 'bout left my seat, so surprised at your word choice. Then I moved on to the next line and gave myself a good tongue lashing.

Another wonder from your imagination. I genuinely don't know how you do it. As usual your characters are real and invite the reader to want to know more. Take me on another journey!

Another great chapter and you are lucky, seeing one of my other favourites has not posted to her regular story this week. Glad Miranda and Waylon get along well.

One left-out word. It's bad enough that Mitch pulls me (over),

Miranda to the rescue! LOL She will probably give him an earfull if she discovers Rita's fears are fact. I really like Miranda. I would love to have a friend like her. Mitch didn't give her a speeding ticket, but he made her pay by embarrassing her as she drove thru town. She eventually gave in to her punishment. Well done. Nancy:)

Mitch and Miranda tend to go from lovers to brother and sister, depending on the day. Thank you so much for this. And, you're right, we all need a friend like Miranda. Gretchen

Great story. You had me captivated from the beginning until the end of the read. A useful tip someone gave me was to describe the way people's faces reacted when they spoke. I really enjoyed the dialogue, Gretchen and am looking forward to the next instalment. Jacqui

Thanks so much. I'm with you about the physical response to emotions. Adding an adverb everytime is lazy writing. Body language tells so much more. Gretchen

I fear for Bill if Miranda finds out he's cheating on Rita. I think he may be, but we can always hope for something better. She's right - her life certainly isn't dull.

Blame it on my age, but have we been introduced to Rita's Bill. I don't remember it. In fact, she played only a secondary role in the first book. I didn't even know she was married. Anyway, it makes for another plotline squiggling off that you can tap into later.

Never mentioned him or Rita's marital status, just that she had two sons. So, I found out when you did. Lol. It will be a minor plot line. Thanks for this. Gretchen

I love Miranda. She is the kind of busybody who doesn't tell, she goes out and gives the erroring guy the business. She also has a great relationship with Waylon that will probably be the making of him if she doesn't end up in jail or dead. Mitch is pretty cool, too. Is Dragon Lady Waylon's grandmother. You do a great job of creating characters who are distinctly different.

Dragon lady is her exhusband's mother. It's Farley's mother. She is the principal at Waylon's high school. Thank you. The characters create themselves honestly. Appreciate the nice review. Gretchen

Hmm, so Miranda is addicted to mysteries and finding the answer. Well, that makes the reason she's searching for a man like Doug understandable. It could be anyone or anything. She can't help herself.
