The author's words are heartfelt, sad, descriptive and creative. I liked the message the author gave through out this poem. It is so meaningful as we only have today! Forgiving and saying I love you as the author states are so important. Thank you for the author's notes - I agree with this statement. The author's words brought me to tears - may peace be found as this poem remind others of this important truth. The artwork goes well with the theme and words of this poem. Thank you...

Always say the good things, and clam up about the bad things. That's a good policy for everyone.

LOL - you nut. Haha - that isn't exactly the message here-because you got to get things out in the open, but just because you get upset and have to tell them things, doesn't mean you can't still show them you love them. This was much harder to writer then I thought it would be. Everytime I Read it, I started I ended up with more and more tears.

well, kiddo , it wasn't exactly the Sahara desert over here either. You did good work.

My mind flew to Garth Brook's old hit "If Tomorrow Never Comes" ~~ do you know it? If not, please YouTube it and listen with all the heart and emotion you put into this poem!
I have a pact with my kids and grandkids that we never leave one another without saying "I love you."
You are so right! We can't assume we have tomorrow to settle squabbles...
Still, I know in my heart Denny knows how much you love him and
more than anyone...he'd want you to forgive yourself and dwell on the wonderful memories!
Whew. Tears in my eyes...
Winner maybe?
I'm thinking so!

Hey there my sweet pea! Thanks for this lovely review and comments. I am not real big into astronomy myself, but knowing that Jan would never have missed an opportunity to post a poem about August's blue moons, I felt the need to do it and dedicate it to her. I feel like I owed her that much for all she taught me and helped me with. Thanks again, my very dear friend.

Ciao mystery poet, you now have 9 votes.
Yes, reading your poem struck a chord.
I still feel bad for not telling my papa' I loved him. After my mamma died in 2006 , he came back to live with me. (My parents were living in Spain, I remained home here in Italy ).
I took care of him until he passed away in 2017... those 11 years together gave me time to know him better
He treated my mother badly so for years I had a big grudge towards him.
Being older and living together mellowed me but I still couldn't tell him "I love you". (It felt like I was betraying my mother, had I said it )
I'm sorry now and often it upsets me..I hope one day we will meet again so I can tell him.

Tempeste, your story saddens me as.it reminds me much of mine- Today when writing this, the pain kept coming back, as it felt like it just happened.
I bet your actions of watching your dad were enough for him to know how much you loved him. I am happy that you had that time together and I bet that meant alot to him too. Thank you for sharing that w.me,
I hope you find peace in knowing your care showed him your love.
Thank you my sweet friend for your kind and compassionate
Words for this poem. And thank you for the vote too

This poem, Tomorrow May Be Too Late, presented with AABB-rhymed quatrains and rhyming couplet refrains, shows the readers the regret we will have if we let ill feeling persist without reconciliation.

This is an emotionally charged verse oozing with regret and pain.
This theme is unfortunately relatable to most.
I find your color choice interesting because your words are so somber yet the yellow feels uplifting, like a ray of hope.
The flow is quite nice and the rhymes unforced.
You have done a marvelous job with the prompt.

Kitty, is that really you? OMGosh it has been ages since I have seen you and so happy to see you back. I had missed you and looked a while ago and saw that you hadn't written for a while. I hope you are doing ok, and just want to say without giving away my identity, welcome back!
And I thank you for your compassionate and kind words for this poem. It was extremely hard to write and even surprised myself how many tears I shed while doing it. And yes,, the colors are more enlightening and hopeful but as sad as the whole thing was, I wanted to leave that hope that just because you are upset or angry doesn't mean you can't still let them know you still love them. Thanks again, my dear friend and so good to virtually see you again.

Life has not been kind, glad to have found my way back.

A powerful poem that transmits the feelings that come with regret, regret at not doing something when you had the chance because we tend to believe we can always do it later. Your emotions flow through to the reader.

Andrea, I thank you so very much for your compassionate review and kind words. This was actually a lot harder than I thought it would be, as revisiting felt like I was there again. So the reminder I put in my poem was as much for me as everyone who reads it. Thank you again, my dear friend.

This is a poem of regret. You did a good job outlining what you havre done.
It is a terrible thing to remember the wrongs only on the day after..
I can see the emotions in the poem.

Yes, you've got quite a few emotions going on here. It's a powerful verse and I really like the rhythmic punch of your refrain and the stories that you've woven in between. Excellent! Good luck! Debbie
