D'you know I can't find words for this! It's as if you're actually Iris and experiencing all these symptoms yourself! The story is exquisitely written, evoking a scene of deep pathos and yet always a much needed element of humour to lighten the mood for a moment. Well done, Gretchen! Debbie

This is a sad post as Iris calls for an ambulance and is take away to hospital, could this be the end for Iris I wonder? She has great faith in Jameson and I pictured the typewriter sitting on the desk just as it was left by its owner, love Dolly x x x

I don't have a six!! OMG! Iris is going, and they didn't understand she wants Jameson with her! I knew this was coming, but it's still a huge shock. I really feel that Iris is family. Will someone know to get Jameson? Is this really the end for her? I suspect it is. Gretchen, you have done an amazing job with this scene, it's incredible. It's as if I was there, hearing the small talk, the warmth of that kind paramedic, her heart speeding up, the sirens, I was there all the way through. Well done, my friend, I can't wait for the next part and I'll have another bunch of 6s. Love and hugs, Sandra xx

I don't have a six!! OMG! Iris is going, and they didn't understand she wants Jameson with her! I knew this was coming, but it's still a huge shock. I really feel that Iris is family. Will someone know to get Jameson? Is this really the end for her? I suspect it is. Gretchen, you have done an amazing job with this scene, it's incredible. after sleeping quite a bit I can report and pass the news around please as I can only peck with one or two fingers,
My right hand is not bruised up just sore. My right hand is deeply bruised and not functional. Left leg fine. Right leg mostly okay except for knee which is all bruised up and very tight. Could have been so much worse. I am lucky. Won't be on much for a while. Thanks for all the best wishes and prayers. Karen

It seems too soon for Iris to lose her fight to live. Jamison will have good memories of his last time with her if this is that. Then he's in for a real shock.

It sounds as though this is the end for Iris. I have a congestive heart and a DNR. Every morning I can hear my heartbeat in my ears. I am going deaf but I can sure hear that. LOL This is good writing Gretchen because you tell it like it is . Well done. Nancy:)

You drew us in with this sad chapter, the way you drew us into all the chapters.
One part for me I found just a bit awkward...
I fumble for my phone, pressing the number for emergency services. While the operator takes my information, the paramedics, police and fire department all show up.
I think before this paragraph when she's putting the photo albums away, you should mention somehow that Jameson had already left.
I thought he was still there.

You drew us in with this sad chapter, the way you drew us into all the chapters.
