I'm happy Jameson is writing again. It sounds like it makes him happy. He just needed a little encouragement.

As always, great job with this chapter. It moves along nicely and grab my interest until the end. I want more. (*÷*)

Bless her heart. She's arranged everything so Jameson will have time to write and be with his son. What a wonderful friendship they have. I'd like to see his face when he realizes what Iris has done for him.

Awwww, this is really poignant. However there's going to be a lot of talk around town once Iris passes away. The elderly ladies are going to have a field day. I wonderhow Jameson will cope? kay

I think he probably won't be traveling in the same circles as the vicious old ladies. LOL. Thsnks so much. Gretchen

This is still a lovely read. So realistic and believable. Almost as if you know a Iris and a Jamison somewhere?? We have no children and family are so distant.

Thank you. I have based this on my Mother and my nephew. He doted on her up until she passed. Was there with her as she took her last breath. I'm indebted to him for being there. Gretchen

Good to know of the connection in real life.

This is such a warm friendship they have. Jamison really doesn't have a clue how well he can write because his wife has spent so much time putting him down. Iris benefits because she has the opportunity to make a man and his son happy and give Jamison the freedom to write.

Thank you, Carol. That is exactly how she wants her estate used. Gretchen

Well, this comes as a shock. I didn't know that Iris was so "well heeled", whatever in the heck that means. Again she had to explain that theirs wasn't a December/May relationship. But why shouldn't it be? Absent the sex, their relationship has developed into a lot more than some people go into marriage with. I think they'd make a cute couple!

He certainly will. Lucky him.
I'm glad Iris got that taken care of; I was afraid something was going to happen and she wouldn't. I hope we get to read it, too - Jameson's story, not the will - ha.

Thanks so much. I'm not sure we will get much more than a taste of his ideas for a story. Gretchen

He will be amazed when he finds how special he was to Iris. She is leaving him her entire estate and he will be able to write to his hearts content. There will be one very co-operative ex-wife in the future. LOL I know this is going to be very entertaining. Good work, Gretchen. Nancy:)

Thanks, Nancy. As far as Jameson has come, Iris still thinks he'd take Claire back. Therefore she opted to have Mitchell do the dirty work. Lol. Gretchen

Yes. Just how special Jameson is to her.
I guess he did not pick up on the line about Heston -
"And bring Heston. I have a big fenced in backyard. Let him get used to playing in the yard."

Let him get used to playing in the yard soon to be yours, once the will is read.

Great chapter. I'm enjoying the story immensely.

Iris has certainly put all her trust in this young man and her lawyer is wise to be suspicious. Jameson is painted here as a kind and generous person and I hope Iris is right but she won't be around to find out otherwise anyway. This is a fine story of friendship without any expectations as neither person expects anything from the other except a mutual interest in each other's company. This is a rare and wonderful thing Gretchen, love Dolly x x x
