Poor Jameson. He needs to let Claire go and move on. She's selfish and not very loving of anyone. I'm glad he called Iris. Heston was right, and he's very smart. 8-)

The call between Jameson and Claire is intense. It reminded me of my ex-husband

Jameson is lucky to have his friend, Iris.

I feel bad for Jameson.

Well done, your story is engaging and the characters development.

Okay, Gretchen, I'm all caught up on chapters 12, 13, 14, 15. Lol.

Iris's congestive heart failure was a shocker, and right when he's dealing with just getting to know Iris.

His situation with Claire sparked emotions as he tried to mend their broken relationship, Iris's congestive heart failure, and his son Finny.
Feeew! I'm so happy I'm caught up. Great story! Best, JohnC

Such a sad, sad story, and part of it belongs to all of us, and perhaps we've had that same affect on others, but I do know I'm learning not to expect too much, but now I know I don't have to behave that way anymore, it's up to us to make a difference, not others. I wonder where Iris is, beautifully written, blessings Roy

I think Jameson is coming to realise that he is being strung along here and he was right when he said that Claire is just testing the water to see if she can do all this alone and keeping Jameson on a string just in case she goes back to him.

I loved this truthful line:
"you can't lose what was never yours in the first place".

We will see how the story pans out, but things don't look good without Claire owning her actions and facing up the consequences. A fine write Gretchen, much enjoyed.

Love Dolly x

Aw, that was a lovely ending with Heston. Dogs do have a sense of what's happening. Iris will give him some advise, but in a way that makes Jameson work it out himself. He doesn't know how near to her passing Iris is. That will really hurt him. He finds a good friend, and she'll be taken from him. Now, what is Claire going to do? I don't think she is the right one for Jameson, but they have Fin, what about his feelings? Children are never invited to give their opinion. This is another wonderful chapter in this fabulous story. Well done, my friend. :) Sandra xx

Thank you so much. I hate posting back to back sad chapters but I feel like both Iris and Jameson have just faced the stark truths about their lives. Thank you for this. Go, Heston. Lol. Gretchen

missing word.
What would he do if he hadn't met Iris? It was all thanks to Hessy. Yes, Irish wolfhounds are smart. Well done, Gretchen. Nancy:)

This two point of view tale is really working out well. It gives an extended dimension to the tale that transcends by far the central story. I much enjoyed you coming back to reinforce Claire's unpleasantness. kay

I'm glad Jameson is being to realize that Claire is using him. It's hurts but it's true. This is a good write.
