That was quite a predicament you found yourself in. I can't imagine being locked into a business and not being able to get out. I wish you the very best Patricia

Nothing ever goes as smoothly as we hoped. LOL Thank you for continuing this story. I enjoyed reading and couldn't find any way to make an improve on this post.

The perfect title for a story about a scary situation. What mismanagement, to say the least. Good thing you were able to resolve it safely. I would have looked for a new job as well. You make NOLA sound like so much fun. I've never been there for these festivities, but always enjoy going there.

I understand, I hate moving. I moved my wife and kids three time in one year due to promotions with a company. We both were tired of it. New Olean's can be a hoot.

What a scary experience you had in the newspaper. I can't imagine the panic that must have given you. I'm glad for your husband and Cuban friend that allowed you to finally get released.

Also glad that you were able to find another job that didn't cause your family to have to relocate.

Take care,
Rhonda

Thank you Rhonda, I was a bit shaken up about being locked in the old building for hours alone. At least, my husband was waiting outside. I appreciate the nice review.

You seem to have settled into the New Orleans, and have started to make some friends, the area is quite obviously different from everywhere else you've settled in, Evan is settling in to his job, and youve said you are trying to sell your old house, beautifully written, blessings Roy

An interesting read. I can imagine your distress at being locked in. That would be so scary! Just as well your friend was able to come to your rescue! A pity you had to sell the second home.

Thank you Wendy. We had moved on so it was best we sold the house. My husband just didn't realize it yet.

Thank you Tom. Do I detect a trace of sarcasm there? It was my first lockup. Very traumatizing.

Kissing multiple people you don't know, throwing food for stew to the crowd. That sounds so New Orleans.

Your being left behind sounds like a harrowing experience that led to a work decision.

You've set us up for the next chapter with your warning words of things not going so well.

See you then.

Thank you Pam. Yes, all of that is a part of the Big Easy. I wonder if it has changed over the years.

More engaging and fascinating writing. Thank you. But green roses? Really?! I love the details of daily life and local customs. Well done.

Thank John, I appreciate the review. Green roses are white roses died in order to match the color of the day. They mix the white and green. Some ladies perfer the white.
