I couldn't agree more, mystery poet. One Halloween is more than enough. The devil gets his own holiday. I agree Spring and Easter are for Jesus and Christmas too, as He is central to those celebrated holidays.
Thank you for sharing, and my very best for the contest.

Thanks
Sally, I maybe got carried away with this, as I do enjoy the fun of Halloween, just as I do Christmas and Easter. Just don't like gory or on the ones that are about Jesus, I hate to see Him forgotten. And thanks for the awesome review, words of kindness and six stars!

I agree. I feel like Satan already gets enough attention and glory. You did great, mystery poet. My very best to you as always.

I certainly agree we don't want duplicate holidays which all become more and more commercialised! You are right, we need more 'prophet' and less 'profit'!

Amen, I love this! It flows well and it basically made my heart sing along as I read. And certain parts I had to stop and say yes to like this line: The real one lives inside of you, He's called the Holy Ghost. Great write. Thank You for sharing.

Hello Poet!
This is such a clever piece for the Halloween in Spring contest. I suspect you will do quite well in the voting booth. The rhymes are smooth and the sentiment reads loud and clear!. I concur!

Author,
This exceptional poem had to be written! This is a great ode to Jesus.
I, myself, used to live Halloween (til my teens), but I too hate all the gore of Halloween creatures, and the distracting bunnies (I would love one as a pet given to me any day but Easter.
Great point. I hope many people read this.
Good luck,
Cindy

Excellent poem with some important points. I do think we should remember why we celebrate holidays, especially Easter and Christmas. I have a difficult time with Halloween in the spring, doesn't feel right. Your poetic form is smooth and your rhyming words give an almost musical feel to your poem.

I thank you so very much for your kind review and understanding words for this poem. I certainly not here to put down any holiday and take away from the fun.
I love the fun ones too, but truthfully think we have too much violence and scary aspects in life and hate to give more of those ideas towards our children's future.

That's a very bold piece of writing. And it's so true, thinking about it. I totally agree with you about the Halloween in whatever season, but it's about time to focus on the Truth and make Jesus the king of our hearts once for all!!
Lovely post!!

The Bible doesn't give Jesus a holiday, He had a human birth by necessity, but we don't know the exact date, we gave Him a pagan festival birthdate instead, but God didn't allot Him one, because He had no beginning and no end, He is the eternal God and Lord. This is so beautifully written D, well done, good luck, blessings Roy

You make a good point about the holiday's not being celebrated for the correct reason. Those Halloween creatures such as zombies seem to be with us all year any more. Still, people like to dress up and so they love the costumes. Maybe we should do a famous historical figures day instead. LOL

That it is a nicely written entry for this contest. It begins with the description of Halloween fun but points out that
Easter time has its own celebration and deeper meaning. Best of luck in the contest. Evi
