This is most definitely an alliterative piece. I love your tribute to your daughters who always felt the urge to climb trees and jump down from them without losing their feminine curls. This shows how it is done. And I am so glad you won the alliterative contest. Thanks for showing us how it is done!

Thank you so much, Jesse!! I was an obsessive tree climber as a kid, and now my two daughters (one a Tom boy, the other a total girly girl) share this love of climbing. I appreciate your review!

Beautiful poem, with words that convey extremely well the joy of little girls playing on trees. It is a charming poem, as it reminds us of the children we were fearless and innocent (great big jumps...)
Very well done Jessica!!

Hello Jessica,
I enjoyed reading your poem.
It's beautifully written - the meter is smooth and your alliteration is generous, yet subtle - a skill in itself!
I love the picture you paint of this adventurous, care-free, life-loving little girl. It's what being a child is all about :)
Congratulations on your contest win!
Best wishes, Debra

This is a delightful piece highlighting the simple joy of little girls twirling among the trees. The alliteration added to the feelings and did not detract from the story. I enjoyed the fun read.

Children can't resist climbing trees. Like cats, some have to be rescued! Trees are living beings and perhaps they whisper to the girls as they play. It's good to have a climbing tree in the backyard. K xx

lovely entry for the contest. I love the image of your little girls hanging out in the trees acting like little monkeys swinging from tree to tree like in a Tarzan movie

Hi Jessica,
This poem shows how girls can climb too. Your girls seem to be adventurous.
I like this form because a like alliteration or should I say I adore alliteration.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Good luck with the prompt
