This is a good entry into the 12-word contest. The text is a great size. The message is written clearly stated, but the reader is left unsure who you are addressing. Who are the folks creating outrage and planned torture? The visual appears joyful so it doesn't help with the descriptions in the poem. . Good luck in the contest.

My Sandra thank you so much for your review and for your comments. I very much appreciate it it's always and you're pointing out that different things is also very helpful when I wrote this poem. I was speaking in general as man. We have enslaved our own people and others along the way. I wanted to talk about that so there's only so many words you can put. In a 12 word contest however the picture I feel is more like a woman breaking out of the black white. Hum drama slavery and back into the light. That's why she's color and everything else is black-and-white hopefully that makes some sense for you again. I thank you very much for your comment and I hope you're having a great day. Well conceived thought process conveyed in a mere twelve words. Each line of three words can stand alone for the reader to ponder.

Some powerful statements here from both sides of the argument and it is never right to enslave anyone and it still exists in today's society in certain places in the world, mainly levied against women, a poignant write, love Dolly x

Thank you Dolly well I'd like it. It can be interesting to turn. Write something powerful and yet poetic with 12 words. But I like those kinds of challenges and I thank you again as always for taking the time to read them. I don't know what she is the best and a good evening too

A thoughtful social comment. Some of the lines seem to refer to the perpetrators, others to the victims. Hence the reader must pose the questions and find the answers. Well done. Best wishes for your entry.

This is great. Everything from the chosen image, to the font size and selection to the spacing, giving the reader pause between each line. There are so many twelve word poems in the competition but this is a top contender for sure. Well done.
