Actually, the grass is not greener on Mars. Everything on Mars is red. Dusty, gritty, red that gets into everything, the air filters, the water filters, the electrical panels, your food, your underwear. It's good that there aren't any deadly viruses in that dust, or we all would have died in that first month. Other than that, it was great! I read the complete works of Charles Dickens, Jack London, and Stephen King.

Thanks for the excellent review and your words of support for the theme of my little piece. There might be a virus there, we don't know. Best not to fool around with these alien worlds at all. Leave them where they are. Up in the sky. estory

Yeah, who would have thought mars would be better than mother earth. However, it might be our only option as we're busy destroying w he at we have here, and I'm not only taking about the climate..
I liked your poem, estory. Merry Christmas, Ulla:)))

Thanks for the excellent review and for your perspective on the poem. I don't put much faith in scientists that have ruined this world already. Why wouldn't they do the same thing up there? And why wouldn't we bring our wars with us? estory

Nicely written sarcastic poem. If you really want to travel in space you better enjoy the journey because life would certainly be boring unless something was about to kill you and who wants that kind of excitement. My son used to quote some guru and wiseman that said "Whereever you go, There you are." which means you take everything they keeps you from being happy the the next place. Happiness comes from within.

Thanks for the excellent review and for your interesting perspective on my poem. I think that's a big theme of this piece; we will bring our problems with us. But we aren't designed to live on Mars in the first place. It's an inhospitable world. So why would we go there? estory

I think at -81 degree Fahrenheit I will be firmly rooted here. Mars has severe dust storms and I'm allergic. You are right sin would follow us as it has since the fall of mankind. Jesus Christ will return soon and the end of all things will play out as the Bible has prophesied. A new heaven and earth will be created and the sun will be no more. The light of the lamb will be our light.

When will you spell Niagara Falls correctly? I catch you every time! I love you anyway. ;))

Sending you my best today as always and blessings for Christmas,
Sal :)))

Thanks for the excellent review and for your words of support for my theme here. Why dream of going to places that we can't afford to go, or even can't live comfortably? estory

Mars "The Angry Red Planet!"
Does Satan rent that place as a Summer Home?
No place Like Hell?
Is there room service and can I get Hot Sauce on my Taco Bell?
This was well written rich in Theme and Imagery.
...
Perhaps we can vacation on Saturn?
I here they got great views!
Plenty of Moon's to Howl about and can I get pay for views on my Comcast?
It also, read well and flowed well with No Grammar Issues.
...
Maybe we can build a Heat Proof Log Cabin?
Toast marshmallow on a spit?
Write poetry in the Heated room before our Crayola crowns melt?
Thanks for sharing this and have a Blessed Christmas on Mars

Thanks for your interesting reply to my little piece. I actually did write a sci fi story about a hotel on Saturn. It's called the Saturn Rings Hotel and it's in my Inner and Outer Space collection in my portfolio. estory

Your story certainly has a little dark humor. And the philosophy is on point, be careful what you wish for. You might get it. I think I will stay here and count those girls in bikinis and have a few drinks on Saturday! Good work, Terry.

I believe your right in this story about the troubles following you, but you get what you make of each day. You are always going to be where you are there is no changing that but what you do with that is what can make that day great.

I tend to agree. The grass is rarely greener on the other side. My dad used to say, if you are miserable where you are, you'll be miserable where you go. If you're content where you are, you'll be content where you go. Each time you have to take yourself, so the results will be the same. Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us in this beautifully written poem.

Thanks for the excellent review and your support of my theme. That's it exactly: true happiness is to be found inside of us; it is about what we make of our world where we are. estory
