Another mesmerizing chapter with lots of action! Argh! The things hospital staff have to put up with! Fortuitous though, as in the end Hank and Emmy are "going west!"

Was the "end of Officer Smythe" too dramatic? I felt like the story lies in the Smokey Mountains and I needed to move forward leaving him behind.
As for Hank and Emmy, I have a special moment planned while they travel through snow-capped mountains.... Hank's first experience.
Our darling Crissy has had a taste of success when she helped solve the rapist case. I hope her overload of confidence isn't going to get her in murky water.
