Look at how smoothly you slide in these chapters that grease the wheels to move the story forward! Interesting twist on the cousins, but not by blood story ~ why do I think that's going to play out in more ways than one?

I always enjoy reading your action packed novel. I haven't been busy so I was behind. I do remember Lance took out the diamonds from the safe for an old client. He decided to show it to Bernie and wanted to change them for money. Maybe the background information between Bernie and Lance is a little too long.

This is another interesting chapter as you are comparing two different characters. Lance's story tells why he has to be an honorable man. The cop named Terry has no such scruples and is giving Costello information.

Hmm, this very good and well written. Yes, the bond between Lance and Bennie is strong, goes a long way back, and now the reader has a fuller understanding of that. That was a deeply emotional conversation for two men to have. But the readers needed to know, and it is always better to have it from the characters own lips.

Thank you, Heather. I prefer to give my characters more dimension, proving that people aren't just all bad or all good. And show that our pasts form a lot of our thoughts but they don't set them in stone either. Appreciate the review.
