This is another excellent chapter. The hook to keep me reading is great. I look forward to the next chapter. The tension in the study is palpable, and the lemonade break was a good way to decrease the tension. There is no room for improvement.

Sorry for another delay but life threw me a curve and I ended up on a plane to North Carolina and my grandchildren. Surgery for one and Nana's care for the others. Settling down now for a few days so I wanted to make sure I thanked everyone for reading and commenting on the stories. I truly appreciate your time and comments... Smiles and hugs, Carol

fixed..... Thank you for catching that stray comma. Grammarly and this new laptop tend to tell me to fix something but the automatic puts it wherever my cursor might be sitting... strange but normal for me. LOL Sorry to be so late in thanking you. And the stars... you are awesome!

    Hugs, Carol

This chapter, filled with enlightening descriptions of both Cooper and Fenton, adds another level of mystery. What does Fenton know about the diamonds and jewelry that had been held by Rupert Blackwell? I will keep reading to find out. Great chapter.

Hi Carol, this was a great continuation to the story. I just wonder what Fenton knows about the jewels. I'm sure we will soon know the answer to that question. Ulla:)))

I'm wondering exactly what Fenton knows about the jewels. It will be interesting how all this plays out. This is a good read.

Cooper smiled, at once noting that his visitor's calloused hand said he was not afraid of hard work. (you can leave off the comma after 'smiled and omit 'that')

I must regretfully inform you that my grandfather left the family in a rough spot if yo,u get my meaning." (you??)

Fenton made the sign of a cross on his chest and then continued speaking. "Word (comma needed instead of a period after 'speaking')

Thanks so much Barbara. It is a madhouse here but things are getting straightened out. That's life I guess. First moment I have had to myself.

Have a great day! I always know I have you in my corner.

This was a nice buildup for the information Fenton had come to share Cooper became very upset and almost caused Fenton to leave but he calmed down only to have you make us wait until the next chapter to hear his story. I'm glad to see you may have posted it already.
