Hi Nassus,
I loved this, and it's really good timing right now. I bet it resonates with a lot of people. Lots of sick children out there just now. My favorite was being tucked in with a chest full of Vicks Vapor Rub. Of course, there were 4 of us... hardly time for a lot of 1-on-1 time. lol

I like what you are saying about the healing warmth of a mother's love. I wonder though if her hands should be cool, to reduce the fever, and to link with the coldness of ice-cream. Just a thought .... Well done.

This is an absolute delight. It brings back memories of my mother, and her touch when I was ill too, only I remember her fingers feeling cool on my hot forehead...(lol). A very sweet 5-7-5! Thank you for sharing. :)

It's always touching and comforting when we read about a mother's love or the relationship between mother and child. Your poem says it all in a few syllables: a mother heals with her heart. Her touch is the ultimate medicine.

My mother wasn't affectionate when I was young, though we were clothed, fed and sheltered from the elements, I never enjoyed the gentle touch of a mother or father, but learned from observation, I was different with mine, and my wife was and is so nurturing with our kids and grands, I'm a blessed man, beautifully written dear friend, blessings Roy
