Hello Author,
you must live on the ocean, for certainly you have described its power during a storm pretty well. I know, I grew up there and have seen some pretty good ones!
Well done. Good luck in the contest!
Susan :)

Hello, Susan. Thank you very much for your kind praise of my sonnet. No, I do not live on the ocean but near Lake Michigan.
-
I'm in the way of thinking that one is much like the other, especially just now! ;)

Well done. I know this is a sonnet in the strictest sense but I ask if it is iambically correct. idk and could care less, for i know not what I.P means anyway. Well done.

-Very nice artwork and good presentation.
-You have written a good sonnet with a good topic.
-A good opening verse that sets the scene
and ask a good question.
-Excellent imagery, alliteration, and word choices in verse two,
like "Bombastic" and "bawl through boulders."
-Good comparison of the waves to "Caesar's legions."
-A very good closing couplet.
-Good luck in the contest.

Beautifully written, your choice and flow of words along with your photo created an amazing sonnet. I really enjoyed reading this and could imagine on the deck of a ship in a storm or watching the waves crash on a beach,

Comment from Sandra Nelms-Ludwig
This is a beautifully descriptive sonnet. The text is a good size. The imagery is magnificent. One can see and hear those mighty waves from your descriptions. It is so well-done. The visual fits perfectly. For sure this entry should be in the winning circle.

Living by the sea I can relate to this very well written sonnet. Beautifully put together.
Oh, watch them as they tower, tumble, race
with such stupendous power, grandeur, grace. Amazing writing. Good luck in the contest.

Comment from Dawn Munro
What lovely imagery this beautiful sonnet evokes -- the fury of crashing waves comes to life as I read -- I hear the surf, and smell the salty air. And then there is the mental picture of Caesar's soldiers -- wow. Well done indeed! That volta is splendid!
