This is another extremely amusing one. In my opinion you could have entered it in a flash fiction contest. I didn't see the first twist coming at all, and the second, about Gabe's job choice is only creeping up on me now. Great stuff. Kate xx

But it turns out his mom is not dead but she works at the funeral home. My daughter works as a funeral home director's assistant. She's learned a lot about the process. I think if she goes for a degree, it can be done online now.

Why you sneaky son of a gun. You had me completely fooled. I was at first thinking what a cold hearted jerk this guy is, and then I find out that the guy was not saying goodbye to his mom's corpse at all. Sneaky, sneaky.
