Now, this is getting interesting and exciting. Okay, you have done it and got me hooked on a crime story. It will be interesting to see how Lance handles the situation he has found himself in. Keep writing.

Thank you so much for reading and enjoying. My apologies for being so far behind. Life seems to get in the way at times. I do appreciate your thoughts and kindness.

Wow! This is a fast moving chapter. I like the way you took your time and described Lance's feelings and reactions in the bank, and again after he reached his office. You turned Lance into a real person the reader can relate to, not just a bland character in a story.

Suggestion: He removed Lance's fingers from his shirt and gave him a shove. "Why would I be followed, and what's with the locked door?"

There has been no prior mention of being followed. I think Lance should ask first, if Bennie thought he was followed. Then Bennie could ask "Why would I be followed."

Another exhilarating episode.

I can imagine how Lance would feel, suspecting his life wasn't safe, he actually is terrified, and calls his cousin Bennie to come keep him company, with millions of dollars worth of jewellery in one's possession how could one? This an exciting episode Carol. Beautifully written, blessings Roy

His client would probably be the first one to insure him money isn't everything. Good health is much more important. There he had millions tucked away, but to no avail. It was of no use to him in his condition. Hank wishes he had never seen it! LOL
Good Job, Carol. Nancy:)

Poor Lance. This isn't going to end well. I can tell. But we have top notch people on this case. Of course, there's Miss Trainor. I feel she's going to be more of a hinderance than help. I really like this story.

    Thank you, Barbara

My eyes pooped out on me yesterday, but I promise to get back to the story. I love it! I missed so much while I was on hiatus.

Sure glad you like my story too! I think it has more emotions entwined with the characters than I did before.

Oh dear! That could be the death of Lance, and Bennie now. I would have handed it over to the police straight away, but that might have been worse. But with Miss Snoopy, pocking her nose in, the world will soon know what Lance had in that box. Excellent descriptions, Carol, and another gripping chapter! Looking out for the next part now. :)) Love and hugs, Sandra xxx

Hurrah! Stirring the pot for sure! And I'm not giving way secrets but I can guarantee its going to get much worse before it gets better. Secrets and more secrets everywhere.

Smiles and hugs, and of course my love, Carol

Talking about bad timing . . . I guess, somethings have to take preference over other, but it would take a bigger man than me. LOL. Thanks for sharing another fine chapter.

Secrets beget secrets and trouble brews. The pot is being stirred and the more spices we add the better it gets...I hope.
