I fear I've been reluctantly absent from reviews, and I'm sorry about that bt it could not be helped. This is a fine post, Roy ~
The allusion to Queen Elizabeth II is apparent and yet you expand her compassion and sense of duty to all...
Perhaps one of her most lasting legacies will be the manner in which she lived her life ~ growing with the times and becoming more demonstrably empathetic to the plight of all who suffer.
It is a point of grace we all ought to aspire to!

Oh dear, I fear this is more of what we have discussed of the state of this world, my friend, and it is truly beautiful, if not sad. I especially loved --
I've always watched and envied Him,
the quiet man who talks.
Speaks not with words, pleasing ears,
yet whispers as He walks.
His messengers, prevailing winds,
converse not with the ear.
But to the heart, provoking souls,
to live in Holy fear.
Awesome, Roy!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful couplets. In style and language, this poem was a step back in time and a stroll through the streets of early Frost and Yeats. Well done. Thank you.

-Nice artwork and presentation, Roy.
-A well written poem with effective imagery and rhyme.
-You do a good job of weaving the theme of a nation into the poem.
-Verse two is a good follow up with the questions you ask.
-A very good comparison to begin verse three,
and very good concluding lines,
"if on knees he sought to pray."
-Well done.

This is such a beautifully written poem paired with an image that pulls such a dreadful feeling of mourning from the viewer. I believe unity in times of struggle is so important and I love how your poem encourages that

Your skillfully written, expressive, and reverent poem conveys a powerful message about how more time spent on KNEES would bring compassion to the forefront.

That image is so sad - there's just too much suffering in this world. We are all children under God and if mankind could just follow the basic message about love and caring for our fellow people, this world would be a better place. I hesitate to leave comments when I'm groggy, but I have brain fog so much, I just have to do the best I can. Blessings, Lilly

Beautiful writing, my friend :) I love the artwork. The details are spectacular.
My favorite part:
If graciousness is godly,
then how are empires great?
If there's not love's sweet promise
how can a nation rate?
I've always watched and envied Him,
the quiet man who talks.
Speaks not with words, pleasing ears,
yet whispers as He walks.
Just beautiful!
Always you fan,
Shana :)
