It sounds like the rumination of youth, the confused stream of consciousness on the awakement of youth, kicked out of the emotional and rudimentary security of childhood, that scary in between place betwixt puberty and the long and winding road, beautifully written though, language wasn't a problem, well done, blessings Roy

Thank you, Roy :-). There was always that questing mind, hidden beneath the hormones. I enjoy reading my old poetry and seeing the drive there! So glad you liked it.

Thank you for sharing this writing prompt with us. What amazes me is the quality of this poem. Your written poem is poem like. When I attempt a poem at 68 it reads like a child's poem. GRRRR

I've always had an 'urge' to write poetry. They really do come pouring out of me. Over the years, I've got better at shaping them as they flow. Now prose is where I get to exorcise the stories that live alongside the words, and try to limit how much poetry I allow in, lol. Thanks so much, Barbara :-)
