You make a good point in this lovely post, however when referring to God, the "h" in he and his is supposed to be capitalized. Also, when Dad says, "You can feel his love for you," it would read better if the son, said, "Then God cares for me." And dad can say, " Yes, he does and....
just make sure you still have 50 words.
Just a suggestion, since you already said about God's love for him.

This was a great story. The only complaint I have is that "He" and "His" should be capitalized when referring to God. Other than that, I enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing!
