This poem, Old-Age Charade, reminds all of the readers that we will have to get older and possibly frail, but are hearts and minds can still be young.

I love your poem. I always thought old people felt like they were old. Now that I have arrived, I know better. We are the same person we have always been inside and people old doesn't compute. We are a young person trapped in a old body and seems like a freak of nature.

Lol! That's cute! I'm glad that you feel only ten-years-old inside. But those nagging signs of aging just make it hard for us to do the skipping and jumping like we used to! Best wishes in the contest!

Thank you for an excellent review. I must admit-I don't feel as old as I am- but not always just ten!

As I read your truly delightful poem, I thought of how, at times, I have vivid, detailed memories of running, climbing trees, . . . when I was ten!
Your poem really resonates with me, as I nod my head at your message.

I like this grandma's attitude! She is whimsical as she remembers her youth, but accepts the fact she's aging. Still, she has the heart of a ten-year-old, and that will keep her going. Rod

I enjoyed your poem! I think we all feel younger inside than we are on the outside. Ten was a fun age to be. Thank you for sharing your poem, and best wishes to you.

well, boy, if you feel 10 inside, keep it up! Maybe you'll persuade the aches and pains that they've got the wrong gal! What a cute and positive poem about the "charade" of aging.
Wonderful!
