Hahaha... this is so funny. In America, we have some phrases that don't make sense and shouldn't be taken literary. I can't blame your husband. The ending is funny too. Well done!

Mary,
This is a funny true story, but I wouldn't be surprised if nowadays it made no difference. Soon all the bathrooms will be for all ages and all 52 genders. Who happens to be sharing your time there will be the luck of the draw. (Excuse the rant.)

This is hilarious, Mary, and well-written within the number of allowable words. I think I might not have reacted quite so extremely, though. Probably would have noticed if you didn't scream. lol Good luck in the contest.

What a wonderful vignette from your life! Your explanation regarding your husband's "disconnect" explains a lot, but I was smiling as I read the piece. And I loved the picture you chose to go along with it!

Oh, my goodness, that must have been a dilly of a shock, Mary. This is an excellent true story, and though I'm not sure where the contest stands, I wish you much success. Best, JohnC

Excellent story. Beautifully told. Good work.
But I'm sure he hears what you say. - at least five-eighths or two-thirds of the time, anyway. lol
Best wishes.

Cute story, well told.
Your embarrassment got in the way of knowing - in the scheme of things - his transgression was very minor. Rushing out of the store seems like an over-reaction to me, but when we are younger we think the whole world is watching us. Newsflash - it isn't.

Well unfortunately it is part of my makeup. When I feel embarrassed or that someone may be even watching, I feel pressured to flee.
Thank you for the review. It is appreciated.

Lol. He took you quite literally. That's a funny memory! And kudos to you for understanding your husband's communication difficulties because of Asperger's! Best wishes in the contest!
