Heavens, another one. Good for you.
You've certainly got the correct numbers of syllables in each line, and now you've got my curiosity up: why is she standing firm against an oncoming storm? Does she have a death wish? Or she must have been tested before and found lacking in bravery. She's a little wisp of a thing. Strong will, though. Muy bueno.

I enjoyed this poem. I wasn't aware of Ekphrastic poetry, and I think I like it. I have been there, in the wind with my skirts flying around me, but unlike the lovely picture, mine was always exposing parts I didn't want exposed. It's a romantic idea, and I like the opposition of strength and frailty. Good job!

I like how you've crafted an etheree. I can imagine someone standing outdoors in a chiffon dress. Maybe after a special event, she's had an argument with somebody? But please solve a mystery for me. What does ekphrastic mean? I've never heard of it before.

Hi Sarah :)
Thank you for your feedback.
Ekphrastic poetry is poetry that describes a visual work of art, either a literal description or an interpretation of the artwork. Hope that solves the mystery!
Do you have any suggestions how I can improve on the poem to earn an upgrade on stars?!
Best wishes, Debra :)
-
Yes, thank you. That does solve the mystery, but I'm probably not the best person to tell you how to describe something, as I'm blind, so I was just reading your words without being able to see the picture. I imagine it was a picture of a woman in her 20s or 30s, dressed in chiffon, on a windy evening perhaps? But I don't know.

Hi Sarah, I?m sorry, I didn?t realise?
The picture is of the black silhouette of a woman on a white background, I can?t put an age to her but I would guess by her stature, anywhere between 20-40? she is standing upright and poised, the layers of her skirt are transparent and blowing behind her.
Best wishes, Debra :)
-
Well, I think you described her poise very well when you said she was standing firm in the face of the building storm and enough is enough.

Thank you, Sarah, have a lovey weekend.
Best wishes, Debra :)

Chiffon and a steadfast, badass, take no prisoners woman. Love it! I am a huge fan of the Etheree poem and I really enjoyed yours. Nicely matched to the picture.
